TROOP 352 HISTORY
Troop 352 began April 30, 1956. Lewis Ovenshire was the Pastor of Locust Grove Methodist Church. Lewis Ovenshire was the first Charter Rep. for the Church. James E. Wilson was the first Committee Chairman. Avery Hash and Cecil Eastridge were the first Members of Commitee. Earl M. Phlegar was Scoutmaster David B. Daugherty was Assistant Scoutmaster.
The following were the first Scouts:
Jackie Cobb, Benny Coy Daugherty, Bobby Daugherty, Wayne Daugherty, Richard W. Smith and Danny Witt.
Explorers: (Back then Explorers were part of the Troop. Today Explorers are separate units, rarely with a church)
Buddy Altice, Dave Ovenshire, Billy Sessler and David Tuttle

The reason there is no Scoutmaster for 99-00 is that there was one to charter; but sometime during the year the person left the unit. Troop 352 did not turn in an adult application for a new Scoutmaster. With Scoutnet it only records the Scoutmaster at the end of the Charter term.
